Fire Season Continues as Firefighters Contain a San Jose Area Wildfire

The California wildfire season rages on with a two-alarm vegetation fire near Mineta San Jose on Tuesday August 6. According to incident reports, the fire was reported at 1:23 p.m. with a call from the Component Drive and Orchard Parkway area.

After only an hour, firefighter crews managed to contain the conflagration to a measly five acres. Teams also managed to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby industrial complex.

Firefighters remained in the area putting out hotspots and cleaning up the site until late Tuesday afternoon. As of now, the cause of the fire is still unknown and is under investigation.
