According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, a ten-acre brush fire has began in Malibu this Friday. Currently, firefighters are working on getting the blaze under control. They’re using fire retardant and water-dropping aircraft to assist in fighting the fire.
There are currently over 200 firefighters and three helicopters on the scene of the fire. The fire started near Sweetwater Canyon Road close to the Pacific Coast Highway at around 11:30 this Friday morning.
So far, Marvin Lim, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, stated that as of 1:00 p.m. the fire was 20% contained.
